Building a B Corp Apparel Brand Rooted in Values
Starting an ethical fashion brand comes with big questions. Can a values-first apparel company succeed? Will people support a business that prioritizes community, advocacy, and transparency over profit maximization?
Thanks to you, the answer has been a resounding yes.
Our first sales weren’t just transactions. They were statements. Every purchase showed that customers are actively seeking B Corp brands, responsible apparel companies, and products that align with their personal values.
Meeting many of you in person at pop-up markets around San Diego reinforced that belief. These events helped us build genuine community connections and reminded us why ethical fashion matters: it brings people together around shared purpose.

As a certified B Corporation, accountability and impact are at the core of how we operate. That’s why 50% of all profits from every sale are donated to support artists and nonprofit organizations doing critical work in their communities.
Beyond profit-sharing, our ethical fashion model includes:

- Offering bulk discounts to nonprofit partners
- Prioritizing generosity, accessibility, and long-term impact
Because of our community, our first year resulted in $8,525.92 given back to artists and nonprofit partners. Each purchase became an act of advocacy—and proof that ethical consumerism truly works.
Growing an Ethical Fashion Community
Our impact extends beyond apparel. Through social media, collaborative storytelling, and the support of incredible interns, we’ve grown a community of nearly 400 people who believe in sustainable fashion, values-driven business, and purpose over profit.
We’ve learned a tremendous amount in our first year—from responsible production to impact reporting—and we’re committed to continual improvement, transparency, and growth as a B Corp.
What’s Next for Fervor & Zeal
As we look ahead, we’re excited to deepen our work in ethical fashion and advocacy by:
