As an attorney, my professional career began at a law firm that was, let’s say, less than ethical. In my time at this first position, I became very disillusioned with the practice of law and with the business world overall.

When I left that position, I volunteered at a local non-profit organization called Invisible Children. I went from having an office with a big desk and bookshelves, the prestige I thought I wanted, to not having a desk or paycheck at all. But the work I did at Invisible Children made all the difference. I went from suing small mom and pop businesses to helping save children from a rebel army in Africa. The difference in my satisfaction and ability to sleep at night was more than enough to stick with the path of using my law degree to help others.

Fast forward two law firms and four businesses later, I co-founded Fervor & Zeal to deepen my impact on the art and non-profit worlds. By creating fervor around the causes that me and my co-founders are zealous about, we’re raising money for those causes and ensuring that artists are paid fairly for their work along the way.

Our hope? That Fervor & Zeal becomes one of the most recognizable clothing brands on the planet, because that means that we’d be one of the biggest fundraising platforms for causes on the planet.
